Has anyone seen this?

I went to see it last night, and WOWZER am I still awed by it!

I thought the acting was terrific (especially Christoph Waltz, who played Col. Landa), the effects were amazing, and it was just overall brilliant ^^ And of course Mr Brad Pitt was pretty funny too :P

Synopsis From IMDB:

Nazi occupied France, and a young Jewish refugee Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the slaughter of her family by Colonel Hans Landa. Narrowly escaping with her life, she plots her revenge several years later when German war hero Fredrick Zoller quickly takes an interest in her and arranges an illustrious movie premiere at the theater she now runs. With the promise of every major Nazi officer in attendance, the event catches the attention of the "Basterds", a group of Jewish-American guerrilla soldiers led by the ruthless Lt. Aldo Raine (Pitt). As the relentless executioners advance and the conspiring young girl's plans are set in motion, their paths will cross for a fateful evening that will shake the very annals of history.

I saw the movie and liked it. It was sort of boring between the comedy and violence but when it comes down to it the film was a "masterpiece" if you catch my drift, Faye.

I heard this movie was pretty funny, and that it was really good.

Maybe I shall see it next week with some friends? :P

And what is the movie rating for this? (American rating, of course :P)

Yup, it's R (yay for imdb!)

And yep, you should all definitely see this film! It has been ripped a lot for the, well, alteration of history, but I think it's great. I love war films anyway, but when a director like Quentin Tarantino goes and makes one, you just have to expect that it's not going to be particularly realistic. And of course that's going to mean that it's not going to be historically correct :P

But yeah, I loved it. It was a little gorey, but not excessively so (as in maybe the case of Kill Bill.... I'm afraid there aren't any spurting arteries that I can remember in this one!!), just what you would expect in a decent "war film" I suppose.

The acting was excellent, as I said in my first post. I have a new love for Brad Pitt <3

Definately a movie I was planning on seeing sooner or later.
I'll probably wind up going tomorrow night. I hate spending nights alone.
